A Note Before We Begin This is a special post. It began not with a plan of my own, but with Chris . His quiet insistence, his deep knowledge of the birds and their habits, and the long, generous conversations that preceded the tour shaped everything that followed. Before we ever stepped into a boat, his guidance was already mapping the hours, the light, the likely places where the lagoon would open its secrets. During the days on the water his passion was infectious, the recognition of species, the patient waiting for the exact angle of wing and sun, the soft explanations of behaviour that turned observation into understanding. And afterwards, in the careful work of selecting and sharing the images, that same passion became the backbone of this entire record. Every bird photograph that appears here is his.
